What is a Growth Centre?
A growth centre is a designated area where there is an opportunity to create better places for the people of NSW.
Growth centres typically have significant Government land at their heart, which can benefit from urban renewal and revitalisation. They are defined under the Growth Centres (Development Corporations) Act 1974.
Development Corporations are responsible for preparing proposals for the planning, development and use of a growth centre to unlock the economic potential of that area in ways which make a positive contribution to our city and its neighbourhoods.
