Australian Heritage Festival Celebration in Parramatta North

Join us for a rare opportunity to learn about the history of the Parramatta North Heritage Precinct. There will be tours of the grounds throughout the day, and an opportunity to peek inside some of the heritage buildings previously used as an orphanage and school not normally open to the public.

Heritage and archaeology specialists will be on hand, there will be displays of information, as well as historic images and videos. Bring the kids, enjoy a picnic. Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase.

Entry to the heritage hub, talks, displays and tours of the grounds are free. Immerse yourself in the hidden history of Parramatta Girls Home with a 3D virtual reality experience - click here for more information. There will also be tours of Parramatta Gaol offered by Deerubbin Local Aboriginal Land Council ($15 per person) - click here to purchase tickets. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the day (cash only) but tickets are selling fast, so book online now to avoid disappointment.
